DNP Diary

Re: Hey guys...

Barnidge, I'm not so sure about muscle loss... I can tell I've gotten a bit smaller but at the moment I can tell if it's all fat or some muscle too. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some muscle loss, however, because I'm certain that my protein intake wasn't as high as it could've (should've) been.

DNP is one of the more protein-sparing repartitioning agents out there. I doubt you've lost much muscle - you probably look smaller and flatter because your muscles are deglycogenated, and you're retaining lots of water. Knock on wood.

Someone in the know (Andy? Huck? Fonz?) can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd recommend that you not do a full body workout for the anabolic rebound effect until the DNP is completely out of your system - figure at least 36 hours from your last dose. (Personally, even FLEXING is a workout in itself when I'm on.) You'll have a better workout if you wait, and if you carb up beforehand, you'll get the most wicked pump. ;) Glad to hear that your cycle went well, and I can't stress enough that everyone should put in the research that you have before trying it.

update

7/10/02 - 3rd day post DNP

Ceebs is right. I don't think I lost much if any muscle from the cycle. I knew that dnp was supposed to be muscle sparing but I wasn't sure if that was going to ring true since my caloric intake(especially protien) was relatively low. I did, however, do a hard back workout on Monday. That was my first day off DNP and it went relatively well. I felt strong even with the chemical still built up in my system. Yesterday I arms and got a decent lift in as well. Nothing extaordinary but still good enough to make me sore today. My chest routine was today and I felt somewhat exhausted. I'm thinking that it was from not eating enough because I felt like I had no energy at all.

I also stepped on the scale for the first time today. I came in at 217, down from 225. I'm guessing that I may still be holding some water so I expect it to drop even further over the next few days. Right now I'm concentrating on keeping protien high and getting in my lifts and cardio sessions.

To Thate, Iceman, Barnidge, Drveejay, testo, NHBGorilla, and Japanese Machine, thanks a lot guys! I know you've been following my progress through this for pretty much the entire time and you've been very supportive. Like I said several times on this thread, I'm more than willing to help out or lend some insight if anyone is planning to run their own DNP cycle. It went well for me, I believe, because I took my time and did the footwork to make sure thing were done right. I still could've done better, my diet especially, but with DNP I'm just glad I didn't end up worse off than when I started.

To Huck and Ceebs, I appreciate your support as well. I wanted this diary to be informative and your input has not only complemented it well but also has given credability and experience where I could not. I've learned a lot about DNP and anabolics over the course of the last few months of me being on this forum (first as a lurker, then as a registered poster) and I think it's only fair that rookies try to contribute whatever we can - especially after all the advice, experience, and info offered up regularly by the Mods and Vets alike.

I'll update this thread for the next few days to see if any more weight drops as water retention goes down. It'll be really interesting to see how it all turns out. Then it's time for my cutting cycle where I'll hopefully spare all of you the inconsequential details that were included here!

Congrats on the 8lb fat loss so far! Today was my last day on DNP, the last two days I took 750mg which was the perfect dosage. I burned all day long but it really bloated the shit out of me big time. I look worse than when I started, but I ate clean the whole time and did plenty of cardio and ab work. How long did it take before you started to drop the water? I was thinking of taking some dandelion root to help speed up the process.

Dude, I just wanna say thankx for that informative report. Would be cool if u would update it in a few days, once u're mostly sure all water's out of your body.

For me too I was always checking it out but I havn't replied to this thread b/c I've got hardly any time.

I'm glad that u did it this seriously and became the results u wanted. This is how a dnp cycle should always be done!

Newbies...take this as an excelent example.

cheers

final update

7/14/02

Hey guys, it's been well over a week since I finished up my dnp cycle and I ended up dropping from 225 to a little over 216. Not too bad! I'm 100% certain that I can do better the next time but like I said, I'm more pleased that I came out in one piece than anything else.

If/when I do it again, I'm gonna invest in some redux before I start. I feel that the one major flaw I has was that I had a difficult time controlling my appettite. Even though I didn't pig out like some guys have claimed to have done, I did feel extremely hungry for all kinds of food (not just carbs) throughout the day. As a result, I did lots of munching. My total caloric intake on any given day was probably between 2000-2500 cals; next time I'd like to keep it to between 1500-1800/day. I know that may seem low but hey, I'm already feeling like shit anyway... being hungry isn't all that much worse.

Eliteswimmer, thanks for following along as well bro! It means a lot that so many guys have been interested in this thread, especially when mine isn't exactly the first or last 'journal-type' that's been on the board. It blew my mind to see how many views this thing has gotten for only like 60 posts. All in all, I guess people enjoyed it and found my experience somewhat informative.

Drveejay, could you drop me an email please? I want to ask you a question about something from another thread. I'm at [email protected]. Thanks!

To everyone else, take care. I'll see ya on another post!
