update
7/10/02 - 3rd day post DNP
Ceebs is right. I don't think I lost much if any muscle from the cycle. I knew that dnp was supposed to be muscle sparing but I wasn't sure if that was going to ring true since my caloric intake(especially protien) was relatively low. I did, however, do a hard back workout on Monday. That was my first day off DNP and it went relatively well. I felt strong even with the chemical still built up in my system. Yesterday I arms and got a decent lift in as well. Nothing extaordinary but still good enough to make me sore today. My chest routine was today and I felt somewhat exhausted. I'm thinking that it was from not eating enough because I felt like I had no energy at all.
I also stepped on the scale for the first time today. I came in at 217, down from 225. I'm guessing that I may still be holding some water so I expect it to drop even further over the next few days. Right now I'm concentrating on keeping protien high and getting in my lifts and cardio sessions.
To Thate, Iceman, Barnidge, Drveejay, testo, NHBGorilla, and Japanese Machine, thanks a lot guys! I know you've been following my progress through this for pretty much the entire time and you've been very supportive. Like I said several times on this thread, I'm more than willing to help out or lend some insight if anyone is planning to run their own DNP cycle. It went well for me, I believe, because I took my time and did the footwork to make sure thing were done right. I still could've done better, my diet especially, but with DNP I'm just glad I didn't end up worse off than when I started.
To Huck and Ceebs, I appreciate your support as well. I wanted this diary to be informative and your input has not only complemented it well but also has given credability and experience where I could not. I've learned a lot about DNP and anabolics over the course of the last few months of me being on this forum (first as a lurker, then as a registered poster) and I think it's only fair that rookies try to contribute whatever we can - especially after all the advice, experience, and info offered up regularly by the Mods and Vets alike.
I'll update this thread for the next few days to see if any more weight drops as water retention goes down. It'll be really interesting to see how it all turns out. Then it's time for my cutting cycle where I'll hopefully spare all of you the inconsequential details that were included here!
