Distance Running

So how exactly does gear affect distance running, and more specifically speed/time, say somewhere between 2-5 miles...

Ive read alot that steroids hinder this, is it actually true.

Can anyone here actually speak from experience?
 
I used to run 45 miles per week and was a competitive 5K and half marathon runner.

for me it hindered me greatly.

it was the extra water weight, extra muscle, and the shin and calf pumps.

there is a guy who posted a thread who said he ran a very low dose of var and dbol i believe and he said it helped him. so its a very iffy situation, if you find the perfect dosage i suppose you can pull it off

you cannot be great at both, you have to choose either bodybuilding or endurance running. all that extra muscle is gonna weigh you down. heck as a triathlete I noticed when is started putting on muscle I started sinking like a rock when I would swim.
 
eq is good for endurance.

no matter what you are on be prepared to deal with the pumps. here are some tips:
lots of water
lots of taurine
low carbs before workout if necessary
keep dosages in check

Yeah - I get this. I used to think I was a great distance runner but I was really just very light for my height. Now I have filled in and I suck.

Used to be a natural born sinker when I swam, now I am not so bad. For some reason a little fat really helps with swimming.
 
I might have to run a 3 mile for time next week, I haven't ran in about 2 months and I've been on a bulking cycle for the past 6 weeks, sounds like it could get ugly..
 
realistically you have to choos eone or the other..build mass or long distance running becuz long distance running and bodybuilding dont exactly mix well. It depends what you are taking that depends if it will hinder you and your doses, ie huge mg of dbol deca and bulking juice is going to slow you down. but then again You can still take juice that wont really effect your long distanc eruning maybe even give you a kick, winstrol, anavar, clen test prop wont do you to much harm another option is using HGH to grow lean muscle and stilll be an effectiv elong distant runner but if you wanted to build big mass Im afraid the running will become extremely difficult and it will have to come to an end.

well it will be ugly cause you haven't run in 2 months. what are you waiting for anyway?

i would run LSD. long slow distance everyday 4-5 miles and get yourself into shape.

if the pumps get bad i dont see you making it to mile 2... for me my calves looked like watermelons and my veins were bulging out.. i literally had to limp the last mile

then again I was on dbol which is the pump king so your pumps probably wont be that bad

the first time i ran on cycle i did it on the treadmill and started feeling the pumps and didn't know what was going on so kept running. finally i stopped and went to the ground in pain. i knew about the dreaded pumps but had no idea what they felt like.. best description is you feel like your calves are about to explode through your skin, like a bad cramp
