did i overtrain yesterday? cuz im feeling sick today

like i am all groggy, and nauseated. and i feel like i have the flu all though my temperature is normal. yesterday was back day and this is what i did:

4x6 chins
4x6 deadlifts (80% of max)
3x10 bent over bb rows
2x10 db rows
2x10 cable rows
3x10 shrugs


maybe i didnt ot, maybe i just have the flu or something (my tonsils are sore and my nose was stuffy yesterday) ; what do u guys think?
 
I am thinking your probably just coming down with something...

BTW , one training day won't get you overtrained, unless it's EXTREMELY SEVERE....but yeah usually overtraining stems from 2,3,4,5 days of consecutive training which is badly planned or just too taxing on the system. It's a good way to know if u are ready for certain programs by assessing the level your body is feeling taxed.

I am guessing your prob just coming down with something or some otherfactors....
 
Yeah when you over reach (proper term) it's over a period of time, so your not recovering properly from your current training

I sure sure couldn't handle the volume your using week after week, with out backing off, and deadlifts can sure do that as well :)
 
im sorry coolcolj, im lost. are you saying i was overtraining? and what is over reaching? sorry about this confusion. thanks.
 
overreaching is a state one reaches before real overtraining kicks in. Overtraining is pretty severe, and not many people ever reach that state. You'll get weaker (overreaching) before you overtrain, and you have to be overreaching for a while before your truly overrtrained.
