Ya, I've only been back in training for 7 months and as far as effective training, this is the first time I have used dual-factor programs, understood periodization and not trained to failure.

I fully expect by Christmass 2005 to deadlift 450 or more.

Btw, what were you benching at 17 years old, 6'0", 175lbs?

The first time I deadlifted 4 plates my head was spinning. Not just from excertion, but from elation. A wave of victorious satisfaction swept through me, I couldn't believe that I'd beaten 405 pounds!

Today I did back and deaded 455 for 8, feet close and grip out wide.

When I was 17 I did not bench press because by then I had worked out that it was an unproductive exercise for a bodybuilder with my bone structure. Flat bench barbell presses just didn't work my chest as wells as incline/decline/dumbell - I could however lift 85lb dumbells for 8 deep reps on an incline bench.

Did not mean to take the glint off of your latest PR (congratulations in fact!), but don't get carried away with all of the compliments, that 7 foot bar can hold another eight 45's yet!

I've got to pull you up on this wtbb,

you havn't run into me in the gym and you havn't asked me for a spot in the gym so don't assume that I'm some idiot and then call me one. I don't bullshit about my workouts, cycles, appearence, diet, etc and I reciprocate the same expectations to you. If you dont think that it is reasonable that I can deadlift 550lbs, then how the HELL am I supposed to believe your 800, 600, 600lb testament.

I've congradulated the gettostud and sent the relative karma; just felt like I was doing him more of a favour letting him know he's stil got a long way to go rather than jumping on the bandwagon. As for whether I should post on this thread or not, I'm a PLATINUM MEMBER who's been around for 3 times as long as you and I have a right to express my opinions within the rules of the board. If gettostud and you have a right to post totals then so do I.

I've been reading your posts for a year and you're obviously a cool bro, just don't get out of shape with me over nothing.

Bodybuilders are weak compared to powerlifters. Don't underestimate PL'ers...lb for lb they'll make you look like a 12yo girl.
