Deadlift PR...

Well I did my Madcow2, 7th week, 3x3 day today and then the powerlifters at the gym had to give me shit so I pulled a conventional 405 deadlift. Not bad for around 7 months of training and only my second max attempt. They still were giving me shit about not pulling as much as some 150lbs girl did after 3 months of training, but whatever. I'll be pulling +450 in another 6 months or so.
 
Congrats on the lift. DLs are more fun over 405 as with 4 plates or more per side, you can sit on the bar between sets. I like the "thinker" posture myself - Rodin if I remember.
 
Ya, I've only been back in training for 7 months and as far as effective training, this is the first time I have used dual-factor programs, understood periodization and not trained to failure.

I fully expect by Christmass 2005 to deadlift 450 or more.


Btw, what were you benching at 17 years old, 6'0", 175lbs?
 
good stuff, 4 plates is a big milestone
