Deadlift Injury

New member
I done deadlifts today and pulled my left tricep and lat. Has anyone heard of or done this. I pulled 315 5 times took a break and went to do it again and this time about halfway up it felt like someone grabbed my tricep and the middle part of my lat and pulled in opposite directions. It had a burning sensation and now it is sore but not real bad. If you lift your arm above your head the area right where the tricp meets the lat at the arm pit it where it is sore. This has pretty much ended back training for a while. Does anyone know how long it takes for an injury like this to heal?

yup, had it when I tried to workout jetlagged (dehydration from a trans-atlantic flight + stress have a horrible effect on your body). Took about 2 weeks before I was DLing again not the end of the world.

Did it prevent you from doing your other back exercises? I know I cant do pull ups or even pull downs for that matter. I dont think tricep workouts are going to happen either. There is one bonus and that is my injured left arm is a little bigger than the right, so now it's catch up time.
