DSI is a good idea, though at 4? I would personally never get one for my 4 yr old son, just knowing he would break it.

My 4 year old is the best wii player in the house. My son has Leapster2, he received for his 4th birthday... very educational and fun

We're talking about a 4 year old LOL And generally presents that have to be used outside are kind of blah.... the parents will have to go outside, then watch their kids get soaked and muddy, then bring them in and wash them, re-dress them, do an additional load of laundry and secretly throw away the toy.
