CO Blizzard 2006

No it isn't. But this is a good chance to get some vouchers and comps.

My buddy is out there right now, worked all day and has to stay through the night and tomorrow at least. He says they are having a lot of trouble clearing snow because of the high winds blowing it right back.

I would call them before your flight, and call a hotel nearby to make a res, just in case. Probably won't get one but try.

I live 20 minutes away from DIA... A hotel won't be necessary, but I am hoping to get some vouchers, comps, whatever... I know my flight will at least be delayed. I'll be calling ahead of time for sure.

I've been snowboarding 6 times this year... Just to rub it in a little.

:)

Ohhhhh you're SO mean!!

I also got invited by friends to go skiing in the Poconos (like they have snow) 1/5 but I had to decline since I can't yet..... :bawling:

how do i get comped by the airline, if my flight is canceled due to bad weather ?

Yes. And if you give up your seat to someone. You can get upgraded on a later flight as well.
They are going to have a ton of people who missed flights trying to get home tomorrow and Friday and Sat.

Vail opened up some of their back bowls... Talk about wide open spaces, with powder up to your knees. If that isn't Heaven, I don't know what is. :p

ok, I'll stop now.

Come on over and play in the snow. I'll even buy the wings and beer afterwards...

I know this sounds mean, but better you than me..
I am in Mass and have not seen much snow at all this year..in fact it has been really nice out.. I am loving it!
I cannot drive in the snow, and I have a different car than I did last year so I have not driven in the snow with it (yet).
I really hope the most that we get this season is about 9 inches in total, that would be awesome...Guess we are suposed to get alot of rain or some thing for xmas (last weather report I heard was 1 day ago)...It all could change, however I hope not.

No worries Angel, I am glad we are getting snow. I love it. Most of the idiots are off the road. Literally. And it means that play time in Colorado has begun.
Just am glad I didnt have to go to the rig today, I bet those boys are stuck out there now.

I've never skiied out west - never thought I was good enough to be able to, but I'd like to try someday......And you're on!

I hope you like your wings hot! If they don't make you sweat, they aren't hot enough... Maybe that's just me. :p

When I moved here, boarding in the Rockies was like learning all over again, but you learn fast... When it takes 45 minutes to go down one run, you can't help but to learn quickly. And you don't have to hit the double-blacks to get a taste of some good powder. I've hit knee deep powder on the blues and even some of the greens, you just gotta know where to go. I'm in the mountains boarding just about every weekend, so I know all the fun spots.

must suck for drivers!
Some times if you go long periods without snow you actually dont mind it..The whole time I was in italy I bitched because I missed the snow. I ended up coming home on vacation in jan of 03 and it snowed like crazy..Hell I was soo happy that I actually went out and shoveled my parents driveway, and I loved every minute of it..Been here since 04 and now I have had my fill of snow!
