Chrysler Crossfire, Lexus SC430, or something else

G35 I have heard good things about, I'll look.

Crossfire I just think looks kinda cool, your advice, though, I will heed.

A friend on mine just bought one (G35) - he's completely bummed by the choice.

Problem with both of the cars you listed is that they lean slightly toward the effeminate side. I would drive an SC430 in a hearbeat if I was handed one obviously, but the majority of people I see driving them are trophy wives.

Get a G35 coupe - imho best looking car on the road under $40K.

No interest in the new SLK 350?

the G35 is just as girlie as the others...

Like pittbull said, forget the Crossfire unless you get the supercharged one. That one runs around $50K though if I'm not mistaken.

Lexus is approx 70K; I have heard some anecdotal things about the Crossfire, that it's pretty cool, etc. No real experience with it to date. I just think it's kinda funky looking. Not the usual way to buy a car, but I am not the usual kind of buyer. :)

lol. I know. I am pretty secure in my masculinity and sexuality though. I exude so much test these cars might grow hair :)

Dentists and their ilk have runied MBs for me. Likewise BMWs. I don;t want or need a car that is identified with status symbol seekers; to some degree the SC430 might be, but not like MB/BMW.

I will look into the G35.

Lexus = Toyota

What about rovers or daimlers? or jags?

Rovers are all SUV types
Jags - Ford (LOL)

The higher end Lexus's are pretty good, I've driven a few and while I'm not sure I'd buy one they do drive quite well and everyone I know that has one have loved them.

Daimler - see Jag.

my dad has one they are pretty fast. the sc430 is about 6 seconds flat for the 0-60. the sc430's are quite nice cars, they do attract attention.very reliable, just somewhat pricey.

I also vote for the Infiniti G35.

The Crossfire is just a Mercedes SLK with a different body anyway.

Your red list pretty much eliminates every decent car in the $40K-$100K category. At some point you have to learn to ignore the "image" of the car and just pick the one that feels best in a test drive.

LOL Never seen a rover SUV

It just struck me that Landrovers are Rovers, as are range rovers. Never realised that lol. stupid

Anyway a large rover sedan, business edition is pretty nice IMO
