Chrysler Crossfire, Lexus SC430, or something else

Unless it's the supercharged Crossfire, say nay. How these two cars are getting mentioned in the same breath.......I have no idea.

Under 35k = Infiniti G35 Coupe or Sedan (only because of the brands you have eliminated)

Over 35K = SC430 or the new GS when it hits.

G35 I have heard good things about, I'll look.

Crossfire I just think looks kinda cool, your advice, though, I will heed.

Hi. I am retiring my Saturn and getting a new car. For those of you who have been here a while, you know the retirement of the "Silver Chariot" is a sad thing. But it is necessary at approx 160K miles.

I don't see a lot of cars i really like out there. I only like the Crossfire and the SC430

I looked at Aston Martins briefly, I may get one, but I am looking for a daily use vehicle. Amazingly, this city (Jacksonville) has a great British car mechanic. So I am down to these two. Which would you rather have? I have a Lexus GS 300, love it very much.

Also, any suggestions are welcomed, but I am not interested in

MB
BMW
Audi
Porsche
Corvette
Dodge Viper
350Z
Ferrari/Lamborghini etc (no good mechanics for those here, like the Aston Martin, too much stress to drive)
any SUV

Thanks.

Good to see you not looking for a penis extending car. ;) Nissan Maxima or Altima are pretty decent rides. Maxima has the performance of a sports car with out the hey look at me factor.

Like pittbull said, forget the Crossfire unless you get the supercharged one. That one runs around $50K though if I'm not mistaken.

Problem with both of the cars you listed is that they lean slightly toward the effeminate side. I would drive an SC430 in a hearbeat if I was handed one obviously, but the majority of people I see driving them are trophy wives.

Get a G35 coupe - imho best looking car on the road under $40K.

No interest in the new SLK 350?

the sc is pretty slick
havent seen any reports on the crossfire, but i wouldnt risk it

i would maybe look into the S4 cab, if you want to go a lil higher in price

for your purposes and style, i think an M5 would be completely perfect, but wouldnt really make a lot of sense if you already own a luxury sedan. I have a (read: my mom owns it but i drive it) g35 4 door, never driven the coupe before but the 4 door is amazing so i can only imagine the coupe is even better. For the dollar, this is my favorite car on the market. And it makes sense for you because you obviously don't want a really pimp car for day to day stuff, so this is just pimp enough that you dont mind driving the shit out of it, but its fun to drive too.
