anthrax, i don't agree with that article, its generalized alot, but individual physiology dictates what will be normal in most cases.

how are you different?? just wondering.. some people are built different that is true some have longer arms some have longer necks...
are you just saying you dont like to put the bar on your traps??
you put it lower???

it rests on my traps, but sits on my rear delts. I use a low bar position. some people use a high bar position. as for general physiology, some people can stay upright, some can't and have to change foot position, bar position etc. longer torso, shorter legs, longer legs etc. also...not everyone squats the way he described.

the bar should go on the groove created by your lats and traps or lower- where they meet. not your neck or traps- thats where you have neck problems.

WoW i would have to see this i just cant seem to picture it.....the bar should not set on your neck!! that is a strange picture in my mind the bar sitting on a neck...but that should be clear....
now i am not going to say you cant do squats with a low position...you can.... but that is putting alot more stress on your lower back... that is forsure...... the higher the bar the straighter you back will be and less stress to your lower back..!!! the bar should go on your traps .. you should squeeze your shoulder blades together stick your chest out and rest the bar on your traps.

completely wrong..the higher the bar is on your back or neck the moer it will compress your spine and give you low back problems..carrying the bar lower on the back almost on the rear delts like suagr said is how you want tosquat with heavy weights..if the bar is on "top" of your traps its most likely in the wrong spot

so what is supporting the bar? if it is not on your taps wouldent you have to bend over more....the bar is going to be inline with your heal or a little between heal and mid foot.... if you put the bar lower you can keep the line of center the same.. but you have to bend over farther if you dont bend over farther then the bar will want to roll down your back...has no support... the bar would be on an incline...and be hard to keep ahold of using your arms..
