Casey Anthony defense: Caylee drowned in pool

Are you kidding me? This is there defense. The defense claims Caylee drowned in the family pool and that Casey came home from work and her father George Anthony (retired law enforcement officer) was holding the dead body of Caylee , telling Casey that she would be charged with child abuse if they did not get RID of the body. So , they threw her body in a field , and Casey went on a partying RETREAT according to the defense to drown her sorrows. This is the worse defense I have ever seen in my life. Discuss.:evil: I hope they give her the death penalty.!!!!

Bullshit. Your baby drowns so you duct tape her mouth, keep her in your trunk for a month, then dump her body in the woods?

I'm not buying it.

I just read an article about this and it made my stomach turn. Casey is also now saying that she endured years and years of terrible sexual abude by her father. And that there was question as to whether her own brother had fathered Caylee.

Smurfy, they crossed examined her father yesterday and asked him on the stand if he had ever abused Casey he said, " NO this is the first time I have ever heard these allegations". They asked him if he pulled Caylee from the pool and threw her in a field and he said , No, "that he could not believe that is what they were trying to allege"

Stupid bitch, of all the things to choose ... drowning leaves unmistakable evidence.

it's called "reasonable doubt"...you don't have to "buy it"...you simply have to believe that it's possible.

for the record, i ain't buying it either...and, i'd make a really bad juror.

wtf is funny about that?

Idunno - the nature of how I read SL saying that in my mind was that he put a lot of thought into this theory and could conceivably consider it true. It's like he was 50/50 on her defense on something just barely tipped him over to the "I dont buy it" side.

i just assumed that he was putting himself in a juror's shoes...and, in that case, that's the analysis and conclusion process...and, like i said, all the defense has to do is create reasonable doubt...if you say "the easter bunny did it", obviously that's not plausible...however, if you say "something bad happened, my dad helped me cover it up, i don't know why i acted the way i did afterward (drinking and partying), i guess i wasn't in my right mind (she's already got that one covered...slam dunk)"...that explanation is completely plausible...but, is it plausible enough to create reasonable doubt?? we'll see.

That is correct. At this point the defense is trying to get a 2nd degree manslaughter conviction which would be a 5 to 20 year sentence INSTEAD of the death penalty or life in prison for her. Just like you said , all they have to do is create reasonable doubt to achieve this.

Why did they never speak up in the beginning and state that she drowned in the pool? And I am sorry, but if she drowned I honestly think that 911 would have been called. Not some duct tape and heart stickers left out in the woods. Give me a break!
This girl is crazy and showed absolutely no remorse whether she is guilty or not she didn't care that her child was "missing"...
