cardio and sweating

brunette said:
synpax my wee is ALWYAS clear, and that is not a boast.

now i am just as confused as before. btw i also drink 1.5 gallons e/d.

Then that eliminates one possibility. Some others might be:
1) Somoene has adjusted the thermostat in your gym downwards.
2) Your measurement of HRM are incorrect. How do you normally measure them? Are you measuring them in a consistent was as before?
3) You don't have enough sodium/K/electrolites in your diet anymore. Drink all you want, those electrolytes are required to sweat. (See the Ultima link in my sig).
4) You are experiencing the onset of a neurological disease.

The first three may be easy to check for. I'd also suggest getting on a treadmill, putting it at 7.5 MPH, and running on it for 10 minutes (should be near your aerobic capacity.) This will determine if you are actually capable of sweating from your eccrine glands (sweat from emotional related causes comes from an entirely different set of glands, is unrelated, and smells much worse).

Urine color is not only the factor in determining hydration.....many times, after food consumption and esp. after I take in excess vitamin C, my urine changes, yet I'm still hydrated......brunette-I'd LOVE for you to get a HR monitor......I will pay for it IF you were accurate in determing how intense your cardio really is.....I'm convinced you have adapted to the machine allowing your body to work a lot less hard than it used to....

so you agree with daisy?^^^

anyway, synpax you have me worried :worried:. your theory, it does'nt sound too unbelievable, but....i will try the treadmill, although it's goddman boring.

i think, as hypothesised by daisy, i will begin to sweat more. just have to chnage things around a little.

what does it mean if i do fat burning exercise for 50 mins at 40-65% of max heartrate and NOt sweat, and in fact feel COLD? :worried:

*sigh*
I'm real careful about answering people's questions here and elsewhere because if I can't really back it off, I'm sending someone in the wrong direction that could harm them. You see a lot of this on the training board (and fortunately not as much on the anabolics board - I guess they are more agressive with red K).

"How much you sweat depends on several factors.... The fitter the runner, the more and larger the sweat glands, resultsing in increased sweat prodution, and the sooner you will sweat during a run."

I checked my NASM text book and there isn't any mention of sweating. I'll see if I can get something up on Nexis. But honestly I don't really care anymore. Believe whatever the hell you want to.
