Car pulling fun

Scotsman

New member
Well my brother and I decided to get the new harness out and pull my car around on sunday. Lot's of fun. I have a geo metro and my bro and I both weight a little over 300lbs so there was a little weight there.

Did two 150ft sprints with it. I have been pretty sick for the last week and two was all I could manage. I learned two distinct things

1. This is an incredible quad, glute, and calf workout.
2. My car was a lot easier to pull than I thought I was at a full sprint on the first one.

Next time we may try to pull our dad's truck for more weight.

Scotsman,

Where did you get your harness? And, I could bring the Tahoe out and we can load it up with shit and pull it around. ;)

www.ironmind.com Costs about $180 after shipping and handling. Hey the tahoe would be great fun.

you did sprints attached to your car? what do your neighbors think? LOL.

Yep we were sprinting with car in tow. Neighbors started coming out and watching us in "shock and awe". One guy drove by and almost wrecked his car because he couldn't stop staring at us. This was up at my parents place where the neighbors don't see me very often so it was probably a pretty good shock to quiet suburbia.

good stuff scotsman, my neighbors have gotten pretty adjusted to me flipping tires and carrying yokes and farmers several days a week. There starting to seem interested in it and some of the younger guys say they'll be down to train, but they never show up and if someone does train with me they never come back ha! ha!

do you have a sled? use that to pull with the harness since there's no tires on it.... it's hell..... I've lost my breakfast on those.

No I need to make one, I have the raw materials lined up just need to get going on it. Sled dragging is an awesome workout.

Know what you mean about the training partners I have been through a bunch of them over the years.

You can also add a sled behind the car for added resistance. It will make a HUGE difference even if you add a 300 pound sled behind it. Not sure where you will attach it to your Metro though...

Great idea. Though I am not sure where to tie it onto either.LOL. I think our best bet for now is to go with a bigger vehicle.

I've pulled 6000kg truck once with harness. I was only 78kg when I did it but it moved, about 20 meters.
