Quick Guess: 10 to 11% stated with reservations.

I'm in the process of doing quite a lot of these measurements for people in preparation for the ACSM exam, so I have to throw out a cautionary note. Body fat percentage measurements can vary significantly by time of day, hydration, even the person doing the test, etc. Some of the best methods only offer accuracy within 2 percent, so one picture makes this a tough call. That being said the measurements have a high degree of precision (reproducibility) when done properly. Its the old accuracy versus precision thing from science, meaning that although the measurement may only be accurate within two percent, multiple different testing methods will offer very similar results, and that each time the test is performed during a testing session the result will be very nearly the same or the same.

Body fat calipers are a very good tool when correctly used. There are several types available including some made for self testing. One that I am familiar with is the FatTrack Gold Body Fat Caliper by Accu-Measure which retails around 40 to 50 the last time I checked. Just be sure to read the instructions throughly and be certain to follow the recommendations. This would be your best bet for an accurate assessment if you don't want to have a trainer do it for you.

* I am not affiliated with any company selling body measurement tools, I am just throwing this one out there for your benefit. If you do a bit of research you may find one that is better, cheaper or you like better; this is simply one that comes to mind.*
