Meh. I think that's a bad use of the phrase. There is nothing anyone can say to me, words or otherwise, that can get to me unless I give them the power to "get to me."

You are correct and incorrect at the same time.

See, the written word is there FOREVER for EVERYONE to read, unless you can go back and delete it so consequently it is far more powerfull than something that is verbalized and gone.

This isn't necessarily about *getting to someone* but rather choosing not to tolerate rhetoric that is designed for the sole purpose of inciting hatred.
