Lets say you are on a clean bulking diet, and you take ALA for every 30 carbs,(300mg ALA or 100MG R-ALA). Wouldnt you be missing out on the benefits that insulin has on muscle growth. Like after a workout, we look to get an insulin spike, but wouldnt ALA minimize that spike. And wouldnt it keep your blood sugar low or even the presence of insulin very low, to the point, where your body does not even know that you are recieving carbs?
I really am not sure what im talking about with ALA, but from what ive read is that it increases muscle glycogen uptake, but does nothing for protien. A little insulin, not a spike would be beneficial to muscle growth, and in theory ALA would hinder gains.
I cannot find much info, so any info posted would be great, ie. articles.
