Calves... I need cows!!!!

All my bodyparts grow and have grown pretty damn good over the years with the exception of my calves. Right now, bad as it is to say, my calves are 16.5" Next summer I want cows!!! I've bounced around and tried different things with no real success. Anyone here that had lagging calves that got them to explode into growing? What is the key? Training rountine? My training partner has awesome calves and he just tells me that its genetics. I'm so ready to prove him wrong. I've done super sets, heavy, light, high reps, low reps. Seated, standing and donkeys. I'm desperate and would follow any training method that has brought success. If you've had the same problem and found the secret that works for you, please share it. I currently work my calves on Wednesday with quads and hams. BTW, last year I wanted to do a local show, but my calves kept me from entering. Help!!!!
 
Holy... Just guessing here, but that would be with light weight??? Can you post a link to the correct way to do the movement. Sets, reps and weight??? Or is that like a P90X thing. Seriously Please don't flame my dumbass :-)

bigguyphx... Man you rock! You should think about standup. You'd get rich!!! Thanks! Holy.... The whole damn thing looks bad. I swear, I look deformed!!! They have pretty good shape with a diamond look, they're just lagging. I just need overall mass. BTW, Thanks for letting me off the hook!

yea man last year I was getting a vasectomy and the doctor was laughing so fucking hard he had stop and leave the room, he walked back and told me "shut the fuck up!" I seen the doc a few months later at the gym wearing his scrubs(sick bastard) I walked up to him and asked him what that stain was on his pants and he said "shut the fuck up!" again!

I just read the Nelson post! Wow! I'm going to measure my calves, then try it for a month. I'm really thinking about buying the books meantioned in the post. Also, wanted to say that a guy that was a trainer at the gym several years ago, that played for the Blue Jays, told me that there was a drug that makes the muscle bleed therefore grow. He also showed me the importance of deep stretching after each set. I cannot remember the exercise, but he showed me one where you sit on the end of a bench with legs up and knees slightly bent and put a light DB between your feet and pull your toes up. What is the name of that exercise and do you think it's important for overall lower leg developement?
 
Yeah, I was voted "class clown" in HS. My slingblade impression is spot on. I try to keep the guys at my work rollin' Showing them my calves usually does the trick. LOL

I'm in the same boat. My calves are just shy of 16.5", and are stubborn as hell. I don't compete and never plan too, but you can still see a noticeable size difference compared to the rest of the body parts..

I've just started the "cooked calves in 4 mins" from Nelson, and I have to say it's working. Not sure how far it will take me, but improvement is improvement.

Yep...been doing nelson's calves and others from BodyBuilding truth and Bottom Line bodybuilding...both excellent reads by the way.... and my calves are STILL sore....lotsa reps man....lotsa reps!!!
