Serious props for giving that man recognition on his hard work! It's the little things that really help people fight the good fight. Kudos, you get my very prestigious 'kick-ass person of the day' award! Keep it up ;)
Thank you mTT :rose:

That is super cool Bunn. It helps me to remember that everyone is at a different stage of the game.

So - your getting close to 3 months w/ no booze - how long will this last?
I PLAN to have some cocktails the weekend of Memorial Day then back to being dry ... some special occasions aside...MAYBE... we'll see how goals go ... I will be honest, I am scared to take a sip ...

Not sure exactly why ...

June 1st, back to goal focus for lifestlye/future change ... still working on making something happen for me ... :rose: While meeting some cool peole along the way, but party days are over for me ...

***Positive thoughts....***

*** I have posted in my log about a large man I see busting his ass on the treadmill.. OFTEN … I KNOW I must have before. I took the time to stop and tell him he looks awesome, his progress is amazing, and to keep up the great work.. it’s paying off … and last night, he approached me with much nervousness, appreciation & shock, and apologized for the surprised look, if not one of ‘brushing me off’ the previous night … b/c so few people, if ever , have made the time to give him a compliment …. We talked for a while about the 130 lbs he has already lost, his heart conditions, and just how these small acts of kindness can help change someone’s life … I am happy and it was my pleasure to compliment him … & I make it a point to do this often … the feeling is one that I canot, and dare not place a label on … ***

WOW.

Ok I had MAD respect for you before... but now it's just THROUGH THE ROOF. :rose:

*B_*, I'm tellin' you -- that man may have simply said thank you to you -- but I guarantee he will forever remember that moment in his life. And for certain he told people about that!!!

Being a "loser" now of 91 lbs... I am really protective of the overweight community, and -- just like those folks who struggle with just going to the gym and being surrounded by 'pros' and hotties -- overweight people have to face that fear ALL DAY LONG, especially someone more than 130 lbs overweight.

WOWIE WOW! :elephant: GO YOU! That makes me so happy to see that people in this world are understanding of what it's like to work so hard, even if it's not the same type of "hard" they've experienced.

God -- I WISH someone would come up to ME in the gym lately and be like "WOW -- wtf are you up to lately?! You've shrunk!"

My students notice, so that is good enough for now. :) After all, they're the ones lookin' at my butt all day. ;)

Again, thanks for doin' that Bunny. Even I'm more inspired now to tell people (outside of WeightWatchers meetings) just how awesome they look. Thanks for opening my eyes a little more.
