NYC is one of the safest cities in america and has been for about 20 years. and crime in new york only usually happens in the ghetto. the hoodlums don't leave the ghetto

I agree. I'm very liberal when it comes to civil liberties and personal freedoms. However, I'm the most conservative person you will ever meet when it comes to inmates. I think once you are convicted of a felony, your rights are far different than the rights of law abiding citizens. I think that they should have to work for their supper, so to speak and that prison should be very severe PUNISHMENT. I also think if you are a violent offender, you shouldn't be let back out.
