Bros, I snowboarded with my MD player in my backpack by accident ! FUCK !

It's a sony 722. Now the battery compartment will give fake displays and won't even read fresh batteries as fresh, instead they have one hour half lives, then , 30 mins later, the batts full again .

anyone know a way around this?
