Bravo to Israel for not giving in!!!

This post is gong to offend some members. I am prepared for that, so flame away.
I don't understand why so many people deny that the Palestinians have a legitimate claim to statehood.
-Since the Wilson administration, the USA has, rightly or wrongly, recognized the "right to self-determination" of all peoples. NATO waged a 78 day war against Serbia to guarantee the self determination of Kosovar Albanians. Never mind the fact that Kosovo field had been controlled by Serbia, in one capacity or another, for 6 centuries. How can Kosovar albanians enjoy a right to self determination while the Palestinians do not?
-The Boer regime in the Republic of South Africe (1902-1992) was organized around the same fundamental principles as is the Israeli state. These principles are: Ethnic segregation, maintenance of the genetic/racial stock of the ruling group, separate jurisdictional governments for separate ethnic groups, the disposession of the ethnic majority. Why did the West opt to destroy the RSA with sanctions while providing the Israelis with the money and materials to maintain minority rule?
-I suppose my greatest critique is why America's leaders felt that the destruction of 3,000 American lives on September 11 was a reasonable cost to pay for Israel's securtiy. Let the flaming begin. Please respond. I want to hear what you folks think.

selective self determination IMO. The reason why we wento into Kosovo is because of mounting media pressure.

If the US was truly into self determination we would have installed a democracy into Kiwait when we had the chance.

What the US needs to do is return to the principles that our country was founded upon. These are the same principles that the ruling class of this country exhibits contempt for on a daily basis. In the interest of maintaining global hegemony, the US government has no problem igniting civilizational wars that you grandsons will end up fighting and dieing in.
Anybody remeber "America first"? As preposterous as this would sound to Presdent Jorge Bush, the chief executive at one time used to act in the interest of the American Republic. But I guess that was back in those backwards days when folks thought that the government worked for the people rather than transnational business institutions.

Until 1988, Jews were allowed to advertise vacancies for Jews only.
wow, that's pretty recent, almost as recent as Rosa Parks in the USA

And the Jewish army are ordered to open fire on innocent Palestinians many Jewish newspapers and high ranked officers criticised its government for doing this. Another fact? Since you obviously read it first hand, does the order actually say "You will fire on all INNOCENT palestinians" or just "shoot the arabs with rocks, bombs, and molotov cocktails"?

If you need me to direct links to prove my point then you are just plain stupid, ignorant or both. No, all I'd like is a single, documented, unbiased FACT. Here's an example:

unbiased news article on 1999 peace accord

I have been to this region many times, so I know what im talking about. Also have friends that have told me about the torture they had to endure from Israelis.

But here are some links concerning the water shortage for the Palestinians

http://allserv.rug.ac.be/~sdconinc/waternet/shortage/shortageIPCRI1.htm

http://hanthala.virtualave.net/watintro.html

You may also find this site intresting also
www.jewsagainsttheoccupation.org

btw if you want to discuss with me, then learn some fucking respect. If we were talking face to face, you would be using a much different tone, because I would stick my foot up your ass so hard you would not be able to walk properly again.
Make me laugh some more, camel jockey. You're not even intelligent enough to disguise the bias of your sources: "Hanthala Palestine", "Jews Against the Occupation"? Are you fucking joking? Why don't you just go ahead and tell us that Arafat said so in his weekly address on Radio Palestine, it would have about as much validity. Why don't you just direct us to the Hezbollah website while you're at it?

I too, have been to the region several times and have family there so don't cry to me about your biased camel riding friends' accounts of the terror they have endured at the hands of the Israeli's. There is no concievable way that anyone could swallow the hogwash that a sovereign country would prefer to try to kill and oppress a small minority rather than have peace for their entire land. Only Arabs have shown time and time again that they will cut off their noses to spite their faces.

And as for discussion and respect,

1) I have no discussion with you. That would imply intelligent conversation. You are ignorant, uneducated, brainwashed, and without a single unbiased or accurate fact. You and Ryan really should be fuck buddies. Maybe we have discovered where he is getting his anal arab injections from.

2) As for your respect and your foot, you'd have to get it out of your mouth before you could do anything with it and your threats of physical violence when overwhelmed intellectually pretty much sums up the mentality of the Palestinians.

yep. I totally agree. Varg, I think your right on.

Its crystal clear US foriegn policy is determined by situational cost-benefit analysis, not morality or public opinion. When the US domestic economy is comprimised, either directly or indirectly, and/or domestic special interest groups threaten to alter the existing federal power structure via voting lobbies, the US goes in. If not, we sit.

The thing that bothers me, to no fucking end, is the US, and every other government, spins their actions as morally "just" and rightous, to engender domestic support for foreign military intervention. We go in in Kosovo, and Kuwait, but sit and watch the Hutus slaughter the shit out of each other. 3,000,000+ dead on that one. Where was the US? nowhere. The outcome of the war wasnt expected to significantly impact the domestic economy (Africa isnt a big importer of US products), and the immigrant African population in the US is miniscule - little voting power. But were heros in Kuwait. Yea, right.

Its a joke. Theyve lied to us, and more importantly, weve let them. By favoring complacency over a global awareness, were empowering our governments to autonomously formulate foriegn policy objectives, by reducing their domestic accountability with the electorate.

As a bit of a rant. Something like 35,000 children die everyday due to malnutrition in third world countries. 35 fucking thousand. Thats a holocost every 114 days, or 3+ holocosts a year. This has been going on for decades. Where are we???! Where are the fucking heros of the globe, the "champions of morality" we proclaim ourselves to be??!

The Jews go on about the holocost. It was a terriable event in human history. But we have an equally, if not far more serious catastrophy unfolding before our very eyes, and what have we done about it??!?

Nothing. It simply doesnt make economic sense to send peace keepers into third world nations to ensure the efficent flow of food to indigenous children. Y? Because food supplies and military intervention will cost us money, and our standard of living will decrease. So we let them die. Then we claim were champions of morality. This is why the world is an evil place. We care more about incremental increases in our standard of living, then we do for village of starving people on the other side of the world.

Just wondering if Ryan was watching CNN and awaiting his response to the FACT that there is now pretty solid evidence that Arafat has had a significant hand in the suicide bombings from the start. Pretty nice way to go into peace talks and show you really want peace, huh?

a little summary of Arafat's efforts for peace:

Bdoc-

That is a great article. Sheds light on Arafat's campaign to muscle his way with the Israelis.
