LOL......your shoulder injury cause you to get FAT???? What?? Were you eating to try and subdue the pain? Cmon.......no excuse........
 
I tend to hit 12-13% in the off season, but drop it quick. I went from 13% to around 10% in the 3 weeks I've been dieting so far, it pays to know your body
 
If Im not on a strict diet, I naturally tend to sit at around 13-14%. That seems to be where my body is most comfortable, thats while eating a decent diet. When Im not cutting, which are about 4 months out of the year, Im trying to eat enough cals to gain muscle, so even though I have a clean diet, im getting alot of cals, but I usually hit 13-14% and hang there.
 
I stay around 10 to 12 % myself


I am actually looking to get a new diet, something more to help keep me lean. If anyone has any suggestions or examples of eating scheduals or what you eat it would be appreciated.
 
been at 8% for a few months..
was hard for me to sustain it.

my set points are about 15%.
anything below that is a struggle.

what you should focus on is slowly get your bf% down.
and dont expect to keep it all off.

so if you're 20%, for example, aim to lower to 12%.
dont sweat if you gain a few %.

its like taking 2 steps forward and one step back..
eventually youll get where you want.
 
MAN..I am the fattest piece of shit on here...I stay around 17% for 8 months out of the year and 12 during the summer. Got down to 10% last year for about a week when I was training for a show which I didn't do because i ddin't lean out enough. Right now I am at my leanest for the size I'm at and hoping to hit 10%.

You were above 10 at birth and likely for quite a while after that. At what point did you maintain at or below 10% and how do you manage to keep it there? I'd imagine you're fairly young and you'll find that as you age, it isn't as easy to maintain that as it is now.
 
I'm sure i've been below 10 since i was about 9 or 10. And i wasn't saying that you are a sack of shit if you are over 10, far from it, i'm just so used to being lean. Haha, i'm not used to being big, just lean.

I didn't take offense at it. I am really curious what people do to keep below 10% all year long. Especially how they can do that and build any real mass at the same time.

Given that I'm an olde fart, my body no longer has the ability to eat everything in sight and still have a ripped physique.
 
I'm 22 btw, starting lifting just over 2 years ago.
