The crowds suck if you take it seriously. My dad and I have went the past 2 years. One reason is you can normally find a flat screen for at least 100 to 150 dollars cheaper that day....and 2 cause i love to see how crazy some people act. Fights over parking spaces....over the last tickle me elmo...lol...i mean love to see the Christmas spirit.

I've never been intentionally shopping on a black friday, but the above would be an interesting reason to go. Human behavior can be very interesting, and if you're not going to get that trinket at 80% off that sold out at 2:59am, you won't be disappointed.
