I've done every exercise routine under the sun to build my calves. They are tough!
Guys born with big ones are very fortunate.
I have noticed that they do grow with increased body weight.
And are the first body part to shrink as you cut.
My conclusion is: heavy weight and 8-10 reps. Even then, it is slow progress. Seated first and then standing.
Arnold got his biggest increase doing 10 sets of 10 with 300-500 lbs, standing calve raises.
Once you get the size you want, I recommend donkeys .... you can watch the muscles as you go up and down. Creates a nice diamond.
I am intrigued by the Strength Shoes. Imagine going for a walk and coming back with giant calves.
