best way to open amps?

I've always used multi-dose vials and pre-loads. Opening first amp and snapped off, the second on broke - bummer - expensive mistake.
Experienced Dudes - tips please?
Are those opener gadgets any good?

AMP openers DO work, however they are unneccesarry.

All you need to do is make sure you scoar (score) the top before you try and snap it. Take a pair of scissors or a sharp razor and go around the skinny part of the amp several times. This will create a fine cut in the amp, almost as if you were bending a piece of paper several times before you rip it off - to get a clean rip/cut. Scoar the top of it in a circle and it should snap off real nice, without any mess or breakage.

With your two thumb fingers, apply pressure between you thumbs and baaam it's open. that's the best way and I never had any problems.

Just bite on it and rip it off with your teeth. LOL just fucking with ya! Semper is right on this one.

score it and use a pen top to slide over it and snap off

I still prefer to use and amp opener. They score the top for you and you just click it and it pops it open. They work great. They are only 4 dollars. No risk of getting glass in my thumb like happened a couple times before I bought one. I have not wasted a single amp since and I have been through a few hundred probably. 4 bucks man.
