Uhh if you wanna trip and sleep.

Heres a good list
1) Thoughtless (Korn)
2) For whom the bell tolls (metallica)
3) Epic (Faith no more)
4) Symphony of Destruction (megadeth)
5) Saint anger (metallica)
6) Tilt a whirl (insane clown posse)
7) Until you call on the dark (Danzig)
8) Rise (the cult)
9) Creamer "All radio is dead" (limp bizkit)
10) Make me bad (Korn)
11) Cemetary gates (pantera)
12) one (metallica)

Cd players suck get an ipod or a sony mini disk so you can switch cassettes no damage if dropped and almost no battery replacement. Also all songs get boring if you hear em enough =/
Argue with any of those and you probably desire a fat meat whistle.

That intro song in.. pumping iron. If I could find it anywhere. It would rock.
And Radiohead - Where I end and you begin.

Egad. Reading this thread is making me cringe...but
everyone has different tastes, we enjoy what we enjoy, of course...

For those that are stuck in the 80's with their metal music, pick up the new Velvet Revolver...if you are a little more daring, try Green Day's American Idiot. In fact, Green Day's Dookie, Nimrod and Insomniac are all great lifting CD's. The Foo Fighters have also put out some strong music over the past few years...R&B? The new Prince CD is solid gym music. Alternative? Pick up anything by Morphine - deep, hard hitting bass lines with some of the coolest and most innovative music you will ever listen too.

I know I am not going to turn everyone on to the blues, but if you ever have the oppurtunity to listen to some Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Johnny Copeland, Albert Collins, Keb Mo, and about 100 others I can throw out there, try and make a point to at least give it a listen. The gym was made for blues music - screaming guitars and lyrics about pain will get you through...

Expand your listening beyond the overplayed dreck on the radio, and you will be pleasantly surprised. At the very least pick up some Stevie Ray Vaughn, a great intro artist to get into the blues.

Later,

Bluesman
