I HAVE BEEN THINKING TO GET IN A EVENT AND NEED SOME ADVICE FOR MAXIMAL POWERING IN BENCHPRESS HOW SHOULD I TRAIN TO GET BEST EFFECT????
 
Train twice a week...

One heavy, using sets of 85-95 % of max.

One light, using sets of 55-60% of max, shooting for max acceleration on the lift. 8-10 sets of 3 reps. Do assistance work such as floor press, partials, on this day.
