I am trying to put together my new diet and workout plan. I need some advice on my protien drink. I have a protien drink before cardio now because I was getting hungrey towards the end of the seesion. Do you think it would be alright if I used 1 tsp of Barlean's Essential Oil for Women (it's close to flax) in my drink? Any thoughts on this?

No question cardio on an empty stomach is best for fat loss.

I personally don't do it, but my previous meal is eaten 2.5 hrs before I step on the treadmill, so my stomach is pretty empty and I still get pretty respectable results.

I to agree that cardio on an empty stomach is the best. I am coming from a cycling and running background to now weight lifting and doing specific cardio training. I would like to lean out and add muscle. My body is used to having something in the morning from my previous training. It's hard trying to break this habit but I'm working on it. What about when I am doing a longer cardio session? Is it alright to have a pre-workout protein drink? AND if so, then protein and ff soymilk (can't do the dairy) or protein, soymilk, 1/2 banana or protein, soymilk & flax oil????? My brain hurts, HELP!

I just answerd all those questions...cut the cardio down using HIIT and do it empty....you;ll be done in half the time...if you HAVE to ahve something keep it to fruit or banana

If you follow what Shadow suggests, you can get through it & you'll be fine. Make yourself do it & have your shake there to drink when your finished.

Thanks Shadow and Skittles. I'll shut it and just do it! I appreciate in the input and will give it a go tomorrow morning :)

Let us know how it goes!

Job completed! Thanks for your help and support! I had a cup o' joe and that was it. I did a HIIT session and my heartrate on the "on" time was working 166-174! I have to say it was a gut wrencher! I then had a 1/2 scoop protien in water, & L-Glutamine. I then later in the afternoon went and did legs & abs. I am pooped! Thank you for giving me a kick in the a**! I needed it! I've been lovin' it though! Since I am changing my frame of mind from the endurance sport background, IT'S HISTORY! I now feel really good about what I'm doing inside AND out! I'll keep you posted and again thanks a million for the advice and support!!
