That's the difference between fans of sec teams and fans of big10/PAC teams. You'll be damn to see me cheer on michigan/wisconsin in the rose or root for steelers/ravens to win the sb. There is absolute no rivalry in the sec, bunch of soft frontrunners whoring around team to team in ur own conf. Lsu/georgia fans are rootin for auburn, all those millions of gator fans gone, theyll be riding the hurricane/seminole wave soon(just like the 90s and early 00s). All those old Tenn fans, yup Bama fans now.

SEC rivalries are very intense. I grew-up watching UT basketball back in the late 1979's / early 1980's and I still don't like Kentucky to this day.

SEC teams support other SEC teams in the bowls because even the most toothless, moonshine-drinking, cousin-banging billy-bob redneck knows that if SEC teams show well, it bolsters his argument over how good "his" team is because the SEC is just so competitive. Year-end bowl games provide fodder for bar talk during the handful of months they can't watch football.

Damn, my boy is the starting safety for Oregon. We played together in HS both years on Varsity. I started at WR and corner, and he started at RB/Safety. He is a fuckin good athlete and i really was hoping that Oregon would win!

really?? i thought it sucked...really sloppy play by both teams on both sides of the ball...there were definitely some good bowl games...but that wasn't one of them (imho).

As a graduate of Alabama, I can safely say that I in no way, shape, form, or fashion rooted for those subhuman, toilet paper-throwing swine. I hate all supposed Alabama fans that pulled for Auburn. The SEC didn't win that game, Auburn did. The SEC didn't win our game last year against Texas, we did.

i cant argue it was sloppy. I hate the fact they have like 40 days in between games during these BCS championships.

I still think the Rose Bowl was the game of the season.
