Arimdex limited gains...will nolvadex do the same??

Last cycle, I was using Arimidex as an anti-e and wasnt making good gains. I decided to stop using it, and immediately started growing.

Im planning on starting my cycle soon

500mg ICN 12 wks
400mg EQ 12 wks
30mg DBOL(first 4, 12-14))

and was wondering if nolvadex would limit my growth in the same way as arimidex? What dosage would be appropriate for this amount of gear?

Arimidex didn't limit your growth, it might have held some water off that you mistook for growth, but that's about it.

Im going to have to disagree with you...this was not water. It wsa most definitely hindering my gains(muscle-wise)...

Johnny Cut, thats a great abstract but I dont think it has much to do with my situation. I believe that Arimidex suppressed my estrogen levels to the point where growth was inhibited. Im curious if Nolvadex will do the same.

Yes,it will suppress IGF and GH levels,as will any anti-E product.How much that actually cuts in to LBM is up in the air,and likely varies greatly from person to person.Personally,I never have a problem on liquidex,femara,or nolvadex for that matter,outside of a few lbs of water-retention.You will need to decide how important those extra couple of lbs are to you in comparison to the edema/gyno possibilities.

i was on 600mg test per wk and 300 mgs of eq a wk taking 1 arimidex eod and 10mgs nolva , and my gains were supressed as well. asa soon as i stped the arimidex gains when up. i dont know what tell ya, i think you are right

Since nolvadex does not inhibit estrogen production then on paper I would say no...but alot of people complain about nolva hindering gains. I don't really buy into that as it never seemed to hinder my progress...

Anti E's do supress your gains and I would not take them unless the side effects are nasty or if you are training for a show.

I would probably start at a REALLY low dose of Arimidex(.25-.5mgs EOD) to guage things. If you using Test/Dbol, then I'd think Arimidex would be a must.

i agree with those who say it barely limits your gains...the best cycle i ever did had arimidex in it at .5 mg a day....with 800mg of test ... 400mg deca and a few dbols a day i didnt gain a single pound of water weight...i put on 8 lbs....at first thought that doesnt sound like much...but shit to be that hard and veiny during a test cycle was great...i would usually put on at least 15lbs with that cycle...but mostly water
