In America we're still arresting and prosecuting lynch mob members from the 60's.
My point is: We have no shortage of criminals, but our society never stops trying to bring them to justice, according to the rule of law.
I'm impressed that Iran "officially" placed a moratorium on stoning, as mentioned in the links I provided. To bad the central government has little intrest in enforcing it. That's their problem though.
My problem is when they want to export this mind set to the rest of the world.

No government is "perfect"... if you're going to blame the Iranian government for not enforcing the abolishment of stoning more strictly maybe you should blame our government for some of the death's it should be held accountable for... which I'm sure dwarf in comparison.
