Anyone here dating a stripper?

Well, she has been a dancer for many many years, and yeah she wants to quit the job she says, but economy right now wont allow her to do so. The thing is that it just worries me a bit, its a lot of drinking involved, drunk driving, and so forth.

I really think she will stop working at some point, but not right now. Its really awkward when she sends emails to customers to have them come in, calling them or have them call her. There are also a lot of people she met at the clubs that is now her friends... i have told her that most of these guy friends, dont want to be her friend coz they think shes nice, they wanna bone.. Some proved me right when she told them she was seeing someone, they just quit hanging with her... so she saw the picture.

Still, i know this is a job, its what brings food on the table, and you need to lure your customers in to get your buck, just is so far away from everything the norm i am used to is like....

I would like to send you a pm if possible dev, sounds like you have some good advice to come with and i need it, dont want to loose my mind and drop the girl coz of my own insecurity, but it will lead to that if i dont get a fix on the way i see things....

I would never date a stripper. I know several really well, and they all have enormous drama attached to them coupled with huge ego trips, not to mention bad drug habits. The stripping isn't what bothers me, its the lifestyle that generally goes with it.

I don't want to stereotype, but I know a lot of dancers and these are common problems with them.

Really nice girl, we were friends first, she wasn't a stripper when I met her, but she just needed to make some cash (she was in vet tech school).

I personally didn't care that she was a stripper, in some ways it made me feel good that guys were PAYING to see her naked, and fantasizing and shit and it was all mine.

For me though, its not about that, its just that its a stripper... I'm in a different place of life.. I don't really date cocktail servers either for the same reason I wouldn't date a stripper (unless they were in grad school or something). Otherwise its like, what do they really have going on? I look to date women who are my equal in most ways, someone who I can form a real partnership with.

good post, but you seem to leave out an aspect. Its ok if you use your brain, its all logical and how most do think, but if she caught your heart, it wouldnt matter coz love dosnt see colors, races or status. Then its the person behind the palisades u look for.

Hate to say it bro but sounds like you are extremely insecure. Rightfully so though. The majority of guys would be insecure as well if in your position. Who on earth wants to see their woman prancing naked and acting like a slut for OTHER men?? Stripping (lol @ "dancing") is as low as it gets imo. One's sexuality is a truly special gift and stripping for other people takes away every last bit of sacredness in that gift. Your choices are either you accept her stripping and lose your mind or she quits. If she quits because you made her there will be problems. Bad situation bro. Good luck.
