Has anyone ever heard of this 10x10 training that my cousin recommended i try
So basically on bench day you would just do 10 sets of 10 and the 10th rep would be close to failure each time
Same goes on arm day or back day etc. just picking 1 compound lift and doing it
10 X 10 is just to much volume every day when you go heavy. As we age we just can't do that volume for any muscle group every day without injury.
I generally like pyramids for bench and slowly stacking the weight on for heavy lifts till I get in that 4-5 rep range and doing 3 sets in that range. Then for auxiliary work I like to do 3-4 sets in the 10-15 rep range to really build a pump.
