any married men go out without their wife once a week?

you should go fuck yourself..

Bro, I went through the exact same thing. If you aren't willing to change to make her happy, it's no good. If she is going to try to force you to change something that was ok before you were married, it's no good. If you're comparing having her quitting eating to you not staying out at a club until 2:00 a.m. getting fucked up with a bunch of single friends, it's fucking pathetic. You just need to sort your shit out and think about what's important.

She may have concerns about your going out all night and leaving her with the baby after it comes. You guys need to talk things over. It's honestly what led up to my divorce. There were plenty of other factors, but my going out was really taxing.

wifey just gets mad when i go out with my friends.. i dont see why its such a big deal.. she expected me to completely quit going out once we got married.. shit just aint gonna happen.. and it aint even once a week its more like once a month.. but whatever.. i'm in the doghouse.. and i'm sad...

Well, that's unreasonable.

Has she been banned from seeing her friends?

I think when spouses try and tell their mates who they may or may not see or be friends with you are just setting the other person up for years worth of resentment. Your wife's behavior says that she's insecure, doesn't trust you or you with your friends or is a control freak.

I encourage my better half to see his friends and do whatever guy stuff they like to do together (besides - it gives us time apart which I think people need as well).

I agree. Then the resentment makes you stay out later and go out more often, and things reach a head. Been there, done that.

lol @ the suggestion of calling to check in hahahahaha

my husband has gone out after work for happy hour a few times, and he has called me while he was out, but not at my request - just to touch base and give me a rough estimate of his ETA. It's not something I worry about. And he certainly isnt at a point in his life where he feels the need to 'escape' once a week and go get hammered. if he did - then to me that's a relationship red flag

DING DING!!!

i'm not sure if you read the whole thing- from what I understand, she doesn't mind him seeing his friends. she minds him seeing his friends at a nightclub or bar until 2am while he looks at other women and drinks, the drives home.

Then she's completely stupid. It's part of human nature. She's probably looking at other men as well.

while he looks at other women .

If I was married to you I would NEVER look at other women

....because I would have gouged my eyes out the first time I saw you naked.
