My dad's been coughing for 2 weeks so far and the family doctor has done dick so far with whatever medication he's been prescribing. It's so annoying.

Probably went to a public school! Sorry about your dad though. Allergies could cause coughing fits if some particles get lodged in your throat. Hope it doesn't require surgery.

No I seriously apologize. There's nothing of value I can add with 1/10th of a history and no physical exam. He admitted he doesn't have any other info. Any attempt to come up with a real differential is assinine. I might as well be pissing with my mouth open in a hurricane.
