Why aren't you taking C++ instead, C is somewhat dated. They're pretty similar though, I believe all C is compatible with C++ compilers.

I am simply amazed how many juiced up programmers there are here. I thought I was the only one. Going by classes and jobs I was under the impression the only thing heavy programmers picked up were programming books. This is so cool

Like i said before. C/C++ is garbage as is VB. Java is being used now because most new applications are web based and Java is the obvious choice since its platform independent. I bet this Discussion Board appllication was made in Java.
