Any BMW owners here?

I completely agree. They are absolutely wreckless with their stuff, complete slobs but have a ton of money - odd.

I have a 330xi, its a 2002 and I love it. It takes a beating from me daily, its very snappy (5 speed of course) and the suspension is amazing.

The AWD xi doesn't seem to get much attention, from either the press or the buying public. Is the AWD system set up more for ultimate grip, or for "all weather" performance?

I'm looking into getting one... my x just got a 5 series leased with ALL maintenance included... this is the first time a lease has actually looked appealing to me. I may lease to own simply to avoid the high costs of german car repairs. Anyone else have the all inclusive lease on a bmw?

BMW leases usually include scheduled maintenance for your alloted mileage.
(ie: 3 year lease - mileage 15k per year - free maintenance up to 45k miles.)

BMW's are for drug dealers, pikeys, kappa klappers, chavs, boxing managers and downtown scum that won some money somewhere

LOL

I guess definition varies by country.

BMW's are for yuppie (or wanna be yuppie) snobs in NY and CT.

Our local "scum" drive:

An old black suburban - jacked up with big wheels
A red mustang convertible - late model
A blue Lexus SC convertible - late model
A gun metal Hummer H2 - late model

don't take that fellow too seriously, it may be like feeding a large, nocturnal pest that rummages around your property for whatever sustenance it can find.

I have 98 328i and to date I have had no problems but I am fanatical about routine maintenance. I have roughly 120k miles and I have not had any problems with the car and while I say that I also think I was just lucky to get a well put together car.

I have a lot fun driving her, she takes corners well, well powered to merge into highways easily, it's comfortable for long driving (I'm a road warriors at times) and for a small car it has a lot of cabin room.

I love this car there is not a new car on the market that is in my price range that I would want to trade her for. I'll drive her until she costs me too much to maintain or I find another car I like better.

From what I understand though the new 3 series BMW's are different from the previous body style (92-98).

lol that's great...you call the car "she". From what I've read about BMWs, they pretty much last forever if you keep up with the maintanance. My aunt has an '84 3-series and it still purrs. Heck, You could be driving yoru car 10 years from now if you wanted...

The 3 series was totally redisigned in 2000, with minor mechanical changes in following years. It gets another face lift this year (05), although most people arn't too happy with the new asthetics. (To be blunt, they look like shit).

I was going to say "Velvett has one", but, um, she's already here.

My friend here has a 3-something, 2003. It;s less luxurious then say, a Lexus, but the BMW really seems like a better driving experience.

When i take the Lexus out, I find myself going 110 on the highway ad feeling like 60. The super-luxurious seats allow you to sink right into them and sort of zone out, like driving your living room couch sitting on a rocket.

the BMW is totally different - the seat feels like a stadium seat, and you feel like you're conected with the road. The Lexus glides, the BMW corners and turns. There's some truth to that "ultimate driving machine" stuff.

Lexus is niiiice. You're right though, it's more of a cruiser than an actual sports car.

Matt, if I may ask why arn't you rolling in a Ferrari or something?
