Any BMW owners here?

All luxury cars (and I own one) are completely impractical and a waste of money, all over rated and over priced.

You will be letting me take her for a spin, right?

Once I overcome the fear of using it myself, sure.

I saw a Bentley Continental GT at Staples Center during a Prince concert. I wanted to have sex with that car.

(I still do)

The AWD xi doesn't seem to get much attention, from either the press or the buying public. Is the AWD system set up more for ultimate grip, or for "all weather" performance?

From BMW:

Add snow to your wish list. The 330xi's permanent all-wheel drive tenaciously grips winter roads. On dry roads, its 38%-front 62%-rear torque split sends the bulk of 225 horsepower to the rear, preserving BMW's rear-wheel-drive balance and feel. On any road, its Dynamic Stability Control (DSC-X) system adjusts power and braking at each wheel individually to minimize wheel slip. That said, your driving forecast has significantly improved. The 330xi sedan. Sport, luxury, and the all-season exuberance you crave.

I'd love to try one out in snowy weather.

One of the guys at the dealership in town has an xi. Anyyway, I went for a drive with him this past Febuary and he made that car walk and talk. We took 90 degree turns on ice with almost zero slippage. Unreal.

I tried the same in an AWD subaru and ended up in a snowbank.

How does your 328 handle snow?

Yeah, but how is it in the dry? Is there any compromise compared to a rear-wheel-drive 3-Series?
