i always wondered why bobybuilders just lift to change the way they look. i always lifted to get stronger at whatever sport i was playing.
i can see big guys lifting to be a better shot putter, or football player, but just to lift to be a bodybuilder, not playing sports is strange to me.
you run the 100 or 200, you work the squat and leg press a bit and if you are a distance runner you work the curls and military press for the arm action and power you need in the last 1/2 mile of a 10k race.lift a lot to be a stronger wrestler..
powercleans for discus throwers. to compete in sports, is what i think weight training is for.. not to always bulk up to get bigger..bigger for what?? maybe non athletes, or terrible athletes bodybuild..

why not get stronger for a sport without getting so big you cant play the sport?.
