Adding weight to Bodyweight exercises

I want to start doing some weighted pushups, but i cant figure out a good way to add resistance to them.

Im considering suspeding a loop of chain from the powerrack pins and using those to push off of (i know this has been done before, just dont know the name for it). Then i might be able to attach some jump strech bands to my belt, or around my waist, and then to the bottom of the power rack.

Anyone have any other ideas how i can weight my pushups effectively?

pushups aren't productive enough to make it worth buying anything for

Thats cause nobody's put weight on them yet. Thats my reasoning anyway.
So many bodyweight exercises are just awsome with weight.
Dips, Squats, Chins,

If i could do pushups with 200-300lbs on my back, i could see some serious chest size comming into play.

hers one i was tortured with on my clearance diving course. you need 2 people. Both adopt the push up position, one in front of the other facing the same way. The person in front puts his feet on the shoulders of the man behind and you both push up in time. Result: the man in front does incline push ups, the man behind does push ups with the weight of the man in front on his shoulders. Rotate every 25 reps. PAIN!!!
