A Question on Calories - Does this sound right?

Hey folks,

I am soon to embark on a complete fitness regime with a view to losing body fat and then adding lean muscle when I have reached my body fat targets. As I have never trained or dieted before, I have just been through all the fun parts of calculating daily calorie allowances etc. though I can't help but think I've gone astray at some point here, can someone a little more experienced tell me if this sounds like too few calories a day for me?

Male, age 23, lazy and visually a little "overweight", no previous diet or fitness experience. (walking to work and regular sex not taken into consideration here :-)

Height: 6'3" - 189.23cm
Weight: 92 kg - 202.4 lbs

BMR: 2123.675

TDEE: 2548.41

Calorie Deficit for fat loss: 509.682

Daily Caloric Allowance: 2040

Macronutrient Ratio: 50-35-15

Macronutrient Calories Per day:

Carbohydrates - 1020k (255g)
Protein - 714k (178.5g)
Fats - 306k (34g)

Meals Per Day: 6

Per meal: 42.5g Carbs, 29.75g Protein, 5.6g Fat

Sound like too little or about right? Please let me know, thanks!

That's a pretty solid breakdown bro

However i would personally lower the carbs to 40% up the protein to 40% and up the fats to 20%... if you can get away with dropping the carbs to 30% without suffering too much loss in intensity in the gym then a better ratio would be 45% Protein 30% Carbs 25% fat

Remember that Essential fatty acids and good fats are very important and can actually help you lose fat

Also make sure you're chosing the right sources for foods...
Maybe you'd like to post a proposed daily menu or something?

btw Your caloric intake doesn't sound too bad if you are trying to lose, if you're training harder you might want to up it slightly
