A good grip is essential

I used the over/under grip as well, until the "under" side trap got over developed in comparison. Besides, the under grip puts more strain on the bicep, IMO.
 
I use the over/under but I switch it up each set. Nice going MM! Peace I use straps and sometimes clamps. Fuck it.
 
When i do heavy deads, i have to use straps because my grip gives out on me way before the rest of me does. i was concerned about this, since grip strength is pretty damn important to me, but i still use straps. to help my grip, i have just been doing heavy ass farmer walks and weighted chins. even though my grip is not where i would like it to be, doing this has REALLY helped it out a bunch.
 
Farmer's Walks, Heavy bar holds, Fat Bars, One Arm Hangs, and Plate pinches should all help out the grip. Also, don't be afraid to chalk up the bar. I hate bars that have all the knurling worn off. Most of the bars in my gym are smooth like that, plu, you aren't allowed to use chalk! I am starting to sneak it in now, it makes a world of difference.
