4 pounds to go, only have 9 days left

I started off at 163 this school year, my goal was to hit 180 by the end of the year. I am at 176 and have been for a few weeks. I am having trouble breaking this point, I don't have time to list my whole diet but it contains 6 meals with 300 grams of protein, most coming from red meat and chicken and 1 protein drink. Also eat alot of carbs and fat. Is their anything that will put on weight really quick. I really want to hit my goal.

The key is your diet. You're eating more than enough protein, so concentrate on increasing your carb intake. If you've got a small appetite, drink an extra 500-1000 calories from a weight-gainer or a home-made version of one. Alternatively, add a couple of cups of oatmeal or rice. You should know your exact caloric and macronutrient intake.

Cut down on all incidental activity and keep lifting hard. Depending on your current training regime, either raise or lower your volume. Its likely that lowering your training volume and upping the intensity will be better for helping you break this, but everybody's body responds differently and it really depends on how you're training now. There is a great routine in the training forum called "Old-school 3 days a week" or something along those lines. That might be a nice routine to switch to if you're on a typical body-building split.

I don't think you will be able to gain four pounds of muscle or fat in 9 days. Even if you didn't care whether it was fat or muscle you would still need to consume 14,000 calories more than maintenence. This will surely add on more fat than muscle. If it's just the scale you want to read 180lbs then go for it. Enjoy the gluttony of all that eating. :p

Yeah, thats something I failed to mention. You're not going to be able to gain 4 pounds of LBM in 9 days, naturally of course. However, my suggestions should put you on the path to doing it in maybe 3 weeks or so.

Hmm

I agree, Add 100 calories to 5 of your daily meals, or add another meal. Seems like your lifting is on par, almost too long 1 1/2 hours not using anabolics is too long, maybe add another day cut the workouts under 1 hr. Do not expend any energy except lifting studying and walking around. If you lean, then go ahead eat the junk food as well. I have alot of my skinny friends drink this shake 1-2 times a day. I put 1-2 scoops of Ice cream, 2 scoops of whey, some vanilla extract, alittle peanut butter, blend it up and eat. It will deffintely give you some calories, and it taste pretty damn good. It is just like a Weight gainer shake you get from any store, just cheaper. Ice cream 2.50$, 5 lbs of whey 28$, pb 2$, vanilla extract 2$.

I would like to try that shake out but im allergic to dairy and peanut butter which really sucks. It's just so hard to eat that many callories in one day on a tight budget, with little time. But thanks again for the tips.

Buy a gfew boxes of pasta for 99 cents each.....300 g of protein is awful lot if you are not on steroids....1-1.5 g per lb. of bodyweight would be better....once protein an EFA requirements are met, when bulking, just load up on the carbs. It will boost leptin levels which in turn will boost insulin, IGF-1, GH, Test, ect.....
