I'm gonna have to do more cardio , but I think that workout as well as PT is more metabolic / cardio intensive. But the PT while carrying the 60-80lb pack would be similar to dinosaur training (which is still cardiovascular)

But incorporating this with small meals between sets of training might be very helpful in building muscle along side cardio vascular fitness.
I like jumping rope for cardio, easier on the joints. They had an olympic event in Greece called the Hoplite run, basically it was a sprint in full hoplite armor.

Yep , someone on bb.com pointed out to me that HIIT could be performed with a jump rope. Never thought of it like that. But I tried jump rope in my house and the rope kept hitting the top of the ceiling , so it was worthless in my house...

Luckily I'm just a little over 5'10" so I don't have a problem jumping rope inside.

I forgot to postup what the 300 workout is

* 25 pull-ups
* 50 deadlifts at 135 pounds
* 50 push-ups
* 50 box jumps with a 24-inch box
* 50 "floor wipers" (a core and shoulders exercise at 135 pounds)
* 50 "clean and press" at 36 pounds (a weight-lifting exercise)
* 25 more pull-ups -- for a total of 300 reps

The actors switched between the clean and press with kettle bell presses

easy, very easy compared to my workouts

haha the alice pack was old school. still the best one they ever issued though i thought
I had scars on my traps from it cutting me during runs and it fucked with my lower back. The civilian backpacks were much better at weight distribution IMO.

all in a row? i couldnt do it all in a row, but with those weights i could easily get it done in 20 minutes and walk out. i thought this was about the movie 300. thats all they did?

LOL RIIIGHT.. i'm gonna try that 300 workout seems like fun..
bro think about how fast you can bang out 50 pushups and 50 pullups

* 25 pull-ups- thats like 3 minutes right there, even with rests

* 50 deadlifts at 135 pounds - 50 sounds like alot, but at 135 pounds you can easily get it in one set, so like 2 minutes tops right there

* 50 push-ups -- easily banged out in one set,

* 50 box jumps with a 24-inch box- this would suck a bit,

* 50 "floor wipers" (a core and shoulders exercise at 135 pounds) - no idea what the fuck it is

* 50 "clean and press" at 36 pounds (a weight-lifting exercise)- 36 pounds? easily done in 1 set

* 25 more pull-ups -- again, pretty easy, banged out in less than 3 minutes

assuming you get to rest a little between sets, it wouldnt be that bad at all...
for a total of 300 repsushups and 50 pullups.
