On a bulking diet given to me by an ex body builder, he says my protein intake should be 1 to 2 grams of protein intake per pound of body weight, now..I weigh 150 pounds so my should be about 250-300 ? is that enough protein for a guy like me who does lifting 6 days a week and has a job cutting trees, which is very physical?

Here is a great video for you to watch where I explain how to calculate your protein, fat, carb and calorie requirements based on your stats and goals -> http://www.evolutionary.org/forums/...s/nutrition-101-carbs-proteins-fat-46427.html

Macronutrients are the components of food that your body uses for energy. There are 4 main macronutrients:
Protein - 4 calories/gram
Carbohydrates - 4 calories/gram
Alcohol - 7 calories/gram
Fat - 9 calories/gram

A rough estimate to determine how many calories you need is to multiply your body weight (in pounds) by 15. That will give you the amount of calories needed to maintain your current body weight. If your goal is to gain weight, multiply your body weight by 17-18. If your goal is to loose weigh, multiply your body weight by 12-13.
For example, a 200 pound person would need 3000 calories to maintain his weight (200 x 15 = 3000).

Once you have determined your calorie needs. Set your protein intake. A good number to shoot for is:
1-1.5 grams of protein/pound of body weight for natural athletes
1.5-2grams of protein/pound of body weight for enhance athletes

Once you have set your protein intake, fill the rest of your calorie intake with carbohydrates and fat.

At 150 pounds, your protein intake should be about 250-300g per day. That is a good amount. Don't forget to also eat a good amount of high quality carbohydrates and some healthy fat along with the protein!

As a professional nutritionist, @muskate got you well covered there! There is really nothing else what could be added there!

it is more than enough protein

the whole protein thing got out of hand during the 80's and 90's cause supp companies were trying to push their fart shakes. it was a lot of monthly money to have customers keep coming back

honestly 1g of protein per body weight is enough to get the job done. what we do not get enough of in our country is vitamins and minerals.. cause we eat too much processed shit and not enough produce

I always try to get something like 40-50grams of protein per meal, depending on how many meals I eat per day

That would be plenty of protein for you. Honestly as long as you get in 150g per day you will be fine. If you eat more than that no problem but don't feel like you need to be getting 250-300g every day.
