225 x 72reps!!!!

wow...i love seeing 1/2 ass reps being bounced off the chest...grant it, that's a lot but i bet you if he did full controlled reps he'd probably hit like 20-25 tops...

i totally understand not locking out all the way on presses to save on the joints but i at least to 3/4-7/8 of a rep.

i dunno.

i think it's a great way to shock the system, must be a powerlifter thing.

Exactly. He only did a few real reps at the end. Other than the last one. lol

I agree its still impressive and a good pump. His range of movement is not really that bad, he looks like he is 2 feet thick. One local guy just did 405 for 20 reps which was damn impressive to me.

Thats what I was thinking I can do 22 full reps with 225, Id say me and him would be a good match up, me at 180 lbs and him at, what u think, bout 280 lbs.

it annoys me when people slate things like this, the guy obviously knows what he's doing, look at the size of him. watch any of jay cutler's training videos, he never uses full rom on bb bench, are you telling me he isnt training properly?

IF THE GUY CAN DO 72 FUCKING REPS WITH 225, DONT YOU GUYS THINK HE HAS AN IDEA OF WHAT HES DOING.

its called speed benching and he could easily out bench everyone in this thread bitching

if your trying to go fast and pump out reps with any kind of rythme, you cant lock them out. if you want to destroy your elbows, then by all means fully lock every one.

and if he did "real reps" he could probably do atleast 60-70. they just wouldnt be as fast.

And why dont you guys try benching like this next tim you do chest and get back to this thread with your results. i bet you all can do like 30-40 reps more then your "real reps"

lol, yeah that would be real close

are you guys fucking kidding me. show some respect this guys is a beast, he probably maxes out around 550-600 raw

oh and btw hes not bouncing those reps AT ALL hes controlling them and going so fast you tards cant see that.

i boggles my mind how someone can throw 225 around like its the bar and you guys jump on him like any of you know what the fuck your talking about. HES HUGE

i agree with DaveTSI people are so fast to make negative comments you cant get that fkin huge not training properly ...

There's a couple of vid of guys pushing serious weight for big reps. One guy is doing 405 for 20 reps and he's doing it pretty damn fast and strong (Ryan Kennelly is his name for those interested in looking him up). I was wondering if there is a certain training style that these guys use to attain this or is it simply gear and years of training or both. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGIPKxYIFJU&NR=1

He most definitely IS bouncing the bar off his chest.
It works for him, and that's great - I won't argue that point.

I agree with all of you guys bounce or not he just benched 225 over 70 times thats bad ass.. I would bet a full up and down he would be mid 40's.. that guy thick and strong.. personally i can bench 225 around 30 times and I'm not as thick as him..but i dunno. he might have springs in his chest..

Finally someone said it.. I agree this guys a beast.. he's throwing that wieght around like its nothing.. I would bet anyone busting he's balls couldn't come close to this guy..

yeah that guy is a beast... he can do prob around 45-55 full reps give or take. full reps would slow him down therefore he would tire quicker and less number at the end also if he is lacking strong tri it could lower the number.

he can out do me so I am impressed... hats off to him

I hate to say it but I always do a burn out like that at the end of my bench day. I have Chest days and Bench days depending on the week. It really pumps the blood into the muscle at the end of the workout. I can only get about 30 to 35 reps with that weight though but my head doesnt look like an olive either.

I give the guy credit for being huge. He must train well. But for me, to say i did X amount of reps, they have to be full reps.

I don't like people that lift like that either, not doing too much for you. Still pretty impressive though, right now 225 I can only push 1-2 times :(

Your max is 225 and your criticizing his bench! hahaha

Some people just dont have a fucking clue!

Fuck yeah I mean we are talking about 75reps here, for that matter he can probably do at least 50 strict reps IMHO.

i cant believe people are still posting about this video will you all STFU!! learn a little about powerlifting and proper strength training before you comment for christ sakes. Newbs.. meet dynamic speed training.. dynamic speed training.. these are newbs, please learn them something because FLEX magazine has poisoned their minds with retarded advice and incorrect training techniques.

i always lock out and i've never even considered the rammifications of that.
i don't have or have had any elbow pains...does locking out at all strain
rotor cuffs?
