Short VS Long cycles

What's ur openion on short vc long cycles? Which one worked best for u takin in acount all the aspects of a cycle?
I personaly ran a long cycle with started in december of 08 and ended it in may 09, this was very stupid, don't get me wrong the gains where great, I had to swith from one anabolic to another so my receptors would build up a tolerance, but the worse thing was recovery time, even though with a pretty heavy PCT I never felt worse after a cycle than this.
From now on I will stick only to 10 to 12 week cycles.

What is yall experieces with short or long cycles?

I've done both short and longer...not more than 12 weeks though.

Deca was the hardest to recover from @ 600mg a week...

And a 6 weeker feels like almost nothing coming off!!

I have heard its necessary to promote nitrogen retention for at least 10 weeks to make lasting gains.

I've made lasting gains on 6 week cycles...


I think it has to do with your natty levels, and DIET

And also your level of intelligence....knowing that your training must change slightly coming off...keeping weights as HEAVY as possible, but not lifting as long or as often till you heal your HPTA.
 
No bloodwork yet, I usually wait 3 months b4 I get blood work done, just to give my body enough time to recover. But now I feel fine, some of my strengh is back, and of couse I always keep my diet clean, on and off cycle, eventhough when I am offcycle I decrease my carb intake and slightly increase my protein intake.
 
depending on your age and genetics the longer you are on cycle the more likeliness of you loosing some of the gains as the natty test will take time to come back..with shorter cycle you may still have hpta not suppressed to a large extent and recovery can be faster..added bonus-you can start your next cycle sooner than a previous long cycle..
 
i am always on some type of muscle building product....but never anyone thing for longer than 6 weeks. More often less than 6 actually. I rotate between AAS, peptides/anabolic non-AAS chemistry, and cortisol/estrogen inhibiting protocols.
seems to do the trick, keeps me healthy and responding consistently and safely
 
Very true BOWLY One major thing I noticed when I got done with my cycle is that strengh went downhill quickly eventhough PCT was there, never had a problem like this with 10 week cycles, also yea I lost 15lbs since end of cycle.

I am about to start a peptide cycle but I am gonna wait untill I get my bloodwork done.

I found optinal cycles for size and gains AND health have been around 12-14 weeks for me, I don't suggest anything longer. Short cycle, I just don't get the gains I want. :)
 
T I feel the same way on cycles shorter than 10 weeks so far the most gains I have made and kept a pretty good % of it was from a 12 week cycle
 
This will always be a debate, but if you know how to cycle your compounds properly you could make great gains off both.
