Depends on what you take. I think keeping your cholesterol in check is huge if you're taking something like Dbol. Here is a good list of supps from Dante from his website.

Here it goes:
aspirin-blood lucidity

**Pepto-Pro- IMHO the best protein available. Can get it at true protein.com. Use your discount at the GNC and get Muscle Milk if you want. I would.

**Creatine Malate- better than monohydrate, but either will do

Phosphatidlyserine (I believe this is a very important supplement to take for myself and probably any runner or lifter who has a lot of stress in his life either through training or work or what have you. Or anyone who feels that they are training so incredibly intensely that there might be a cortisol problem inhibiting gains) 600-800mg preworkout (its expensive). Pat Arnold has an 11-oxo product that might be worth looking into that runs along the same parallel pathway I’m trying to shore up ****Phosphat-also helps memory function (may help in classes too.)

**BCAA powder- building blocks of muscles

Beta-Alanine- Beta-alanine is the rate-limiting precursor of carnosine, which is to say carnosine levels are limited by the amount of available beta-alanine. Supplementation with beta-alanine has been shown to increase the concentration of carnosine in muscles, decrease fatigue in athletes and increase total muscular work done


**Taurine- Taurine is named after the Latin taurus, which means bull or ox, as it was first isolated from ox bile in 1827 by German scientists (nifty little fucking facts me thinks!! Lol) Taurine is a common ingredient in energy drinks. Taurine is often used in combination with performance enhancing substances, such as creatine and anabolic steroids, partly due to recent findings in mice that taurine alleviates muscle fatigue in strenuous workouts and raises exercise capacity


**Waxy Maize- WM restores glycogen levels faster than dextrose, thus super-hydrating the muscle cells in record time. Taken immediately post workout as an insulin-boosting carbohydrate source, take it along with a fast acting whey isolate or whey hydrolysate and other eugenic aids, such as creatine, glutamine and leucine. Basically, it pulls all you post workout supps in your muscles and refuels your muscles faster.

Metamucil (self explanatory-- just pour a tiny bit of the powder in a protein drink sometime during the day)

**Cissus - (Another supplement that every lifter or runner should really look into--joint wise and in theory as an Anabolic...yes I did say that word ANABOLIC) Cissus contains a super-high potency extract of Cissus Quadrangularis standardized for 40% total Ketosterones and 20% 3-Ketosterone and is lab tested for potency and purity. Cissus can help support optimal joint health, enhance recovery, support healthy weight management, and is a potent antioxidant.

Co Q-10 - health and if your taking statin drugs (which I’m not, but family history says I probably will and you might too) you really want to look into this supplement...its a key for heart health

Non-flush Niacin (good for HDL/LDL)

**Milk Thistle Extract - Milk Thistle has been used for thousands of years as a digestive aid, but it is most well known as a superior herb for liver and gallbladder disorders. Honestly, any supp you take will pass through your liver, help support your liver’s health.

EPA DHA Omega 3 fatty acids- you know…

Olive leaf extract - I believe so very important for the immune system (key supplement along with Beta Glucans)--if you get sick with colds a lot these 2 supplements should be in your daily regimen. (along with washing your hands thoroughly when you come back from the gym, including scratching each soaped up palm with your fingernails of your other hand to get soap under them)---read somewhere that up to 90% of the germs that can wind up on your hands get underneath your nails....scratch your nose? scratch your eye? Walla sore throat/cough/sniffle city.

Vitamin E with Lycopene (Lycopene IMO one of the most important health supplements there is (prostrate etc etc etc)

High potency multivitamin with high Lycopene content

Green tea extract - 750 to 1250mg a day, will help burn fat. Start low and work your dosages up, don’t shoot high with it off the bat.

Quercetin - (another highly important health supplement in my opinion) Quercetin has demonstrated significant anti-inflammatory activity because of direct inhibition of several initial processes of inflammation

B6 - 100mg a day

Vit C- duh… lol

L-glutathione - I’d use it for liver properties but it has multiple health benefits

Beta-Glucans - extremely important immune system supplement. I believe everyone if they have the money for it, should be taking this and olive leaf extract

**Nettle root/stinging Nettle - for SHBG (bound testosterone reasons) What this means is the testosterone doesn’t bind to a useless receptor, this shit does, so “free” test goes up.

Bilberry extract - for eyesight

**7-keto DHEA-- immune system and thyroid function (another highly important supplement in my book)

I have read some conflicting reports tho on whether non flush niacin is beneficial compared to regular niacin.

Nothing to do with protein intake. Just figure why not keep it healthy as possible for when I do pop the pills. Plus I got some other bad habits.

actuall bro, too much protein (excess of protein) puts your liver in over-drive mode, i.e. overworks your liver...this can cause serious prbs.
 
True, alcohol will screw with liver enzymes more than orals, so prorein shouldn't be too big of an issue. I just don't see the need of going over 2g/lb.
 
One of the best anti estrogens that I have used believe it or not and those that have used it as an estrogen blocker know what I am talking about is Gaspari's Novedex XT. Honestly have had better success with that then the real nolva. Our rep for our supplement distributor explained to me that Nolvadex does not work on estrogen bound in the blood but mainly estrogen in breast tissue. he said that Novedex XT works more like Arimidex and blocks the estrogen receptors at a much higher rate in the blood.

Its probably was arimidex. Gaspari was spiking his products with real juice I believe at one time.

It was methyltest and this was probably 4 years ago.

If anything Nelson, would be spiking UNLEASHED with methyltest. Its like the gold standard for putting in fake products to make one think they got the real deal.

About 10yrs ago, after Russian dbols built up a huge rep , fakes began to circulate containing methyltest.

And proving he did it on purpose is another thing. Whos to say whats going in those products when your buying from china.lol

cardiovascular protection is probably one of the most important overlooked aspects of cycling.


Most orals kill your HDL. Some worse than others, with var and winny probably the worst. while your HDL is impaired, you are greatly increasing the rate of plaque deposition (cardiovascular aging), most of which is then yours for life increasing risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Garlic has studies which demonstrate it acts as a super-HDL, a substitute HDL so to speak, clearing away ldl and preventing oxidation and plaque deposition. (garlique and others have cardio formulas with the correct study dosing)

Grape Seed extract is also essential for preventing CV oxidative damge and has other cycle benefits.


also Fish oils, policosanol, hi fiber supps like metamucil, and noflush niacin (inositol hexanicotinate) and some walking/running 2 or 3 times a week minimum.

it all sounds so easy when you're able to run to the local super market and pickup whatever it is that you may need. trying to maintain a decent diet while on cycle and deployed overseas has become quite a bit of an issue for me. i do the best that i can as far as protein intake and multi-vitamins and whatnot but it's very hard keeping the calories clean when sometimes the only option i have to eat is a MRE or only protein bars or whatever else i've managed to order off the internet. i'm wondering if any members have been in a similar situation and i'm open to any advice you guys may have.

A couple of things necessary if not compulsary on days one works out?? - Avoid sex pre workout

Non workout days - Sex - compulsary. Mandatory. Regulates stuff in the body like nobody's business :-)
